Social timeline, the next generation of social media
Plurk is a social network service that provides the specific timeline of a user’s recent activities. The bar shape UI was designed to suit the function. The service generates spontaneous interaction between users, which is a new-market disruptor that evolved from micro blogs, such as Twitter.

I start to use Plurk recently. I like the design of timeline.

I have yet understand what really makes a social networking site successful–what differentiates them for other sites, what this site has to offer, etc. There are so many social networking sites out there that offer the same things… such as embedding, streaming timelines via microblogging, and connecting with the use of applications.
Moving forward, I think niche social networking will be the new bandwagon. People will have to rely on different social networks to manage different relationships and interests.
