Two weeks ago, I decided to do some audio research on the Flip Video Camera, and like any good researcher, or geek, I started by taking apart the Flip to see what is inside. My objective was to investigate the audio components inside the camera to generate a list of specs, frequency response curves, and polar patterns in order to make some suggestions on how to use the Flip in the field. Here are some pictures of what I found.

It is relatively difficult to get the microphone inside the camera. Although access was difficult, I still managed to get to the microphone without destroying the camera. Yes, the camera still works, perfectly!
